Provides colour confirmation of suitability for painting and etches non-weathered galvanised surfaces prior to painting
Crown Trade Protective Coatings T-wash is an etching wash for non weathered, untreated galvanised surfaces and creates a chemical reaction which causes the surface to turn black, confirming that the surface has been satisfactorily degreased and is ready for priming.

Please make note of the following considerations for preperation of new, untreated galvanised metalwork:
Surfaces must be clean and free from anything that will interfere with the materials to be applied.
Wash with hot water and liquid detergent solution to remove oil, grease or any other contaminants, frequently changing the water. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Allow to dry.
Galvanised surfaces should be pre-treated with Crown Trade Protective Coatings T Wash. Overall blackening of the surface will confirm satisfactory surface preparation.
