Sacrificial layer based on transparent natural wax. Suitable for a single cleaning process.
Temporary systems (sacrificial)
Depending of the surface and the conditions a temporary (sacrificial) or permanent protection layer can be chosen. Sacrificial means the layer itself will be completely removed together with the graffiti during every cleaning process using high pressure cleaning with hot water.
The protective layer should be re-applied after cleaning. Rust-Oleum uses a natural wax for this system, making it an environmentally friendlier alternative to permanent systems. Even more so because no special chemical cleaners are required.
MAIN PROPERTIES
Biodegradable, solvent-free, UV resistant, easy to apply, virtually invisible, water vapour permeable, economical to use, quick-working.
RECOMMENDED USES
Once it has hardened, GraffitiShield™ WAX is very resistant to many types of ink and paint. Graffiti can be easily removed with hot water. Once the graffiti has been removed, the cleaned areas should once again be coated with GraffitiShield™ WAX. Once the hardening period has passed, this will ensure that the treated surface is once again resistant to graffiti.
Suitable surfaces: dimension stone, brick, calcium silicate, concrete, acrylic, and marble. It is important that the surfaces used can be cleaned under high pressures, at a water temperature of 70-90°C.

Graffiti Cleaning
High pressure cleaning with hot water (70°C) or by using an alkaline cleaner. Cleaning implies removing both the graffiti and the wax coat. A new wax coat should be applied after cleaning.
Coverage: 6.7m2 per litre
Drying Times: Can be painted over in: 10 minutes – 2 hours
Manageable in: 12 hours
Hardened in: 24 hours (full protection against graffiti)

All substrates can become subject to a graffiti attack. Cleaning graffiti directly from the original surface can be difficult or even harmful to the substrate.
The alternative is to apply a transparent anti-graffiti coat onto the surface that needs protecting. Such a barrier coat is easier to clean and even offers protection against UV, dirt build-up, carbonation and wear.
