How to Paint Aluminium

Surface Preparation
Remove all visible signs of organic growth and treat the areas with Zinsser Mould Killer & Remover in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Allow to dry.

Priming
Ensure the surface is free from any contaminants and anything that could interfere with adhesion then degrease overall with Zinsser Universal Degreaser & Cleaner frequently changing the cloth. Prime all bare metal with one full coat of Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Plus in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Allow a minimum drying time of 1 hour in normal drying conditions.

Decoration
For interior projects finish with two full coats of Zinsser Perma-White Interior Eggshell, Satin or Semi-gloss in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Allow a minimum drying time of two hours between coats. For exterior projects finish with two full coats of Zinsser Perma-White Exterior Satin or Semi-Gloss in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Allow a minimum drying time of two hours between coats.
