The Benefits

Working with contractors, Zinsser create problem-solving products that meet “real world” challenges such as painting ceramic tiles, providing tried and tested solutions to painting problems.

Using Zinsser products allows for tiled surfaces to be redecorated in more than 350 colours, saving the time and mess generated from removing and replacing ceramic tiles from walls in kitchens and bathrooms.

This is highly beneficial to businesses moving to new premises with dated or unsightly tiles; redecoration can be completed in as little as a day with the surface ready for the big opening. It means businesses can open faster and return to providing services to customers without prolonged closure or disruption, vital in such a crowded marketplace. With over 4,000+ colours from RAL, NCS, and British Standard available, matching existing company branding shouldn’t be a problem.

Landlords will appreciate the quick process to return a property to the market with the possibility of increased rental income from an updated interior, whilst homeowners can quickly change the décor of a room without the disruption to family life.

Step 1. Surface Preparation

All signs of organic growth should be removed, and Zinsser Mould Killer used to treat the affected areas in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

Allow the surface to dry and then wash down with hot water and liquid detergent to rid the surface of contaminants and anything else that could interfere with the application and adhesion of Zinsser products and materials. Change the water frequently, and then degrease all over with methylated spirit, also frequently changing the cloth.

Before overcoating, ensure that grouting is completely dry.
