Is it better to stain or paint outdoor furniture?

Both wood stains and garden furniture paints will protect outdoor furnishings from UV light degradation, dirt and grime, insect infestations, mould and other growths. A stain will provide such protection for wood, colouring to your tastes, whilst allowing the wood grain to show through the coating for that natural wood ambience.

What is the best protection for outdoor furniture?

It depends on the finish you prefer; paints will completely cover the wood gain in opaque colours whereas our exterior wood stains colour and protect wood without blocking the grain, leaving a natural finish.

How to apply wood stain to outdoor furniture?

Prepare the surface suitably inline with the manufacturer's instructions in the respective data sheet. Ensure the surface is clean and dry and free of contaminants and anything that could prevent adhesion.

Once prepared, stir the tin and apply with a brush or roller along the grain, thinly and evenly, allowing it to dry properly before applying a second coat.
