The quick drying nature of the product allows Wethertex masonry paints to be applied with minimum delay.
Features & Benefits
Preparation
Remove all loose and flaking material from the substrate, including algae growth. This should be removed with Wethertex C10 Multi-Surface Fungicidal Wash. Also ensure all damaged areas in the substrate have been repaired with a suitable exterior filler.
Application
Wethertex ST1 Quick Dry Stabilising Primer is applied neat with a roller or brush in one generous coat.

Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team: This product wouldn't be suitable for this type of application. Assuming you have prepared the substrate in accordance with the technical datasheet, have a clean, dry, sound surface, we'd recommend applying Zinsser Cover Stain as this is capable of blocking stains and bleeds, preventing the colour seeping through. Zinsser Allcoat Exterior Water/Solvent-Based, in your chocie of Satin, Matt or Gloss can be used as a topcoat. This can be mixed to 4400+ RAL, BS or NCS Colours. | |

Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team: Wethertex products using the Optilife Silicone Technology have been scientifically developed and rigorously tested to work up to 20 years and provide ultra waterproofing, highly breathable and self-cleaning properties. Constant attack by water, frost and sun can seriously degrade buildings, ultimately causing them to fail. Even bricks can become damaged and delaminate. This can lead to damp problems, damage to the wall construction itself, and potentially extremely expensive remedial works. Wethertex exterior paints have been developed using advanced silicone technology to protect buildings against the damage caused by such inclement weather conditions.
