The Paint Inspection Kit is an essential piece of equipment for all industrial painters, enabling them to have all the necessary test equipment to ensure the industrial paint coating is correctly applied throughout the coating process in compliance with ISO Standards.
Paint Inspection Kit (Metric) (K3001) is an essential piece of equipment for all industrial painters, enabling them to have all the necessary test equipment to ensure the industrial paint coating is correctly applied throughout the coating process in compliance with ISO Standards. The Equipment in the Paint Inspection Kit will allow on site testing for all five stages of the following ISO Standards.
STAGE 1: SURFACE PROFILE. ISO 8503-5. Testex Tape (R1002) and Testex Gauge (R1004).
A unique replica technique produces accurate, blast-cleaned surface profile measurements that ensures optimum blasting effectiveness.
STAGE 2: SURFACE CLEANLINESS. ISO 8502-6 & ISO 8502-6. Bresle Test (P2005).
Steel when blast-cleaned can be contaminated by Water-soluble salts and corrosion products. If they are not removed prior to painting, chemical reactions can result in blister formation and accumulations of rust that destroy the adhesion between the substrate and the applied protective coating.
STAGE 3: SURFACE CLEANLINESS. ISO 8502-3. Dust Test (P4001).
Assess the quantity and size of dust particles on steel surfaces prepared for painting. Dust particles on blast-cleaned steel surfaces may reduce the adhesion of applied coatings, and by absorbing moisture may promote the corrosion of the steel surface.
STAGE 4: CLIMATIC CONDITIONS. ISO 8502-4. Dewpoint Meter (H3001).
The Dewpoint Meter enables testing for the estimation of the probability of condensation on a surface to be painted and establishing whether conditions at the job site are suitable for painting or not.
STAGE 5: COATING THICKNESS. ISO 2808. Coating Thickness Meter (C5001).
Measures all coatings on steel and iron substrates using the magnetic induction principle, ensuring the correct coating thickness has been applied. Other models of the Coating Thickness Meter can be supplied for thick coatings or non-ferrous substrates.
Calibration certificates with traceability to UKAS are an optional extra and are supplied as hard copy.
It is your responsibility to read the Product Data Sheets (available below) before you place an order and prior to application of the product. The content of this website is our best recommendation and is not advice. Coverage rates quoted are approximate, you agree that coverage depends on the condition of the substrate, surface absorption, texture and application method. We ALWAYS recommend a trial area is coated to ensure the product meets your requirements before use.
