    Maston 2K Primer with anti-corrosion pigments creates humidity and chemical resistant surface. It provides an adhesion bridge layer for putties, which can be applied directly on the primer without sanding, and is designed to provide a durable, anti-corrosive and extremely robust priming coat.

    • Suitable on all kind of metals (including galvanized metal, aluminium, copper, brass) as well as carbon fiber substrates and most plastics used in automotive OEM, concrete & masonry, wood and glass

    Features & Benefits

    • When sprayed, the chemical hardening process takes place immediately in atmospheric pressure. This ensures that Maston 2K products have the same characteristics in terms of adhesion, corrosion, scratch and chemical resistance as traditional 2-component systems, where the base and hardener have to be pre-mixed

    • Always ready-to-use: no activation by puncturing the hardener can required

    Application Notes

    • Before painting: shake the can upside-down for approx. 3 minutes
    • Spray at a distance of approx. 15 - 25cm
    • Optimal conditions of use:
      • Temp 18 - 25°C
      • Humidity: 35 - 75% relative humidity
    • Use in well ventilated areas
    • Spraying several thin layers is better than one very thick layer. Recommended thickness 1.5 x layer @ 30 microns dft, max 3 layers
    • Always spray in cross layers
    • Coverage app. 2m² (covering layer painted metal surface)
    • Primer is sandable after 12 hours @ one and a half cross layers, thicker layers will have an impact on drying times
    • Touch dry in approx. 15 minutes @ 20°C
    • Clean the valve and actuator by spraying the can upside down for approx. 5 seconds
    • For better results make sure that sand-throughs and edges are levelled out correctly



    Limitations

    • Data based on one covering layer on white base colour
    • Suitable for use on previously painted surfaces on fully dried surfaces only
    • Previous paintwork may affect final surface attributes
    • Some alkyd paints may react with Maston 2K. Test before applying
    • Not suitable for use on styrofoam
    • Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/respiratory protection/eye protection/protective footwear
    • Pressurised container: May burst if heated. Extremely flammable aerosol. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking. Do not spray on an open flame or other ignition source. Do not pierce or burn, even after use
