Coo-Var Anti-Slip Acrylic Floor Paint is used to provide a durable and hard-wearing surface with an anti-slip finish. This product has been independently tested and has a PTV rating of 68 in dry conditions and 58 in wet. UK law recommends on a minimum Pendulum Test Value on floors of 36 dry, wet or contaminated. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
- Prepared metal
All surfaces should be clean, dry, sound and free from contaminants.
Concrete - power floated, granolithic and smooth surfaces should be roughened first to provide a good "key" for the paint. This can be done mechanically by abrading or blasting, or chemically, using Coo-Var Acid Etch. These processes will have the advantage in addition to preparing the surface of also removing dirt and laitance.
New concrete must be allowed to cure thoroughly which can take up to 3 months. Other surfaces have to be prepared and primed with the suitable primer for that substrate.
Existing painted surfaces - Surfaces should be cleaned, degreased and sanded to ensure an adequate "key" is produced. Remove all loose and flaking material and treat bare areas as new substrate and prepare accordingly.
Apply direct to wood
Coo-Var Anti-Slip Acrylic Floor Paint thinned 5% with clean water on all other unpainted surfaces.
Apply by brush or roller.
Touch dry in one hour
Hard dry in 2 hours
Estimated Coverage: 5-9 sq m²/litre

Hi, I have always applied every year 2 pack floor paint to a concrete floor in our fish processing area where there would be a wet area, this paint is not non slip and needs coating once a year, I have got a quotation from a specialist company to re do this floor but the price i was quoted is ridiculous. so could you recommend something non slip and hard wearing
We would suggest 503 Easy Clean Anti Slip Coating, this is a high-build epoxy resin coating containing a hard wearing fine particle anti slip additive that is pre-dispersed into the resin and held in suspension. The result providers a ready to use product that leaves an evenly textured, slip resistant surface that is easy to clean and extremely durable.
