Anti Slip Stair Nosings are easy to fit and help highlight the hazardous leading edge area of the step. This is the ideal product if you are looking for an affordable solution to minimise the risk of slips, trips, and falls in the workplace or in your own garden. A hard-wearing Silicon Carbide Grit is applied to the top surface to provide an effective anti-slip finish, which outperforms conventional aluminium or rubber material in terms of slip resistance.
Quality Assurance: Manufactured in accordance with ISO 9001 accredited Quality Management System, the structural integrity of the specified material is high grade. A suggested life span of 25 years is expected, but not guaranteed, and is based on a number of variables: environmental, installation process, maintenance, loading and traffic conditions.
Slip Resistance: The integral angular quartz gritted surface has been tested and certified in accordance with BS 7976-2. It provides an exceptional level of slip resistance over its lifespan. Lifespan depends on frequency of use.
Chemical Resistance: Fibreglass products are resistant to a wide range of chemicals across a broad temperature spectrum. GRP is made using a number of different resins to achieve specific chemical resistant properties. Please refer to chemical resistance charts at the end of data sheet.
Fire Resistance: All products contain a Fire Resistant Additive resulting in a Euro Class 1 fire rating in accordance with ISO 9239-1 and ISO 11925-2. This performance is equivalent to ASTM E84 class 1 and BS 476 part 7 class 2 flame spread and in effect gives a 25 minute burn time on the material.

Can I order 2.4m lengths 55x55 Mm? When I try it automatically changes to 70mm.
Assuming you are looking at grey or beige nosings unfortunately these are only available in the 55mm x 70mm option.
But white, black and luminous are available in 55mm x 55mm.

I want to use them on steps going into the swimming pool . Are they suitable once immersed in water ?
The anti slip-finish on our GRP is very coarse and not recommended for bare feet.

Can this product be cut on site? Also what's best to use to cut it?
Yes - if any localised trimming/cutting is required, we recommend the use of a Jigsaw, preferably fitted with a tungsten carbide blade (Bosch T141 HM or similar) or suitable hacksaw or grinder – with a stone or diamond cutting disc. The operative should ensure he is wearing appropriate P.P.E. and uses cutting equipment in a safe manner. Care should be taken to select a safe area for cutting and ensure the safety of others. A suitable bench should be used. It is best to cut the sheet face side up. Standard marking and cutting procedures should be employed. All waste material should be disposed of using duly appointed receptacles.

Does this product work with Durbar galvanised steel plate that has a raised profile I need something to highlight step edges but not create a trip hazard due to the raised profile of the steel plate.
Yes our 1101 Anti-Slip Stair Nosings can be used on these type of steps, we would recommend fixing with our Self Drilling Screws for metal and our 1106 Clear Adhesive. We can post free of charge samples of this product for you to see before purchase also, just contact our Sales Team on 0113 2455450 or [email protected]
