    Rust-Oleum Stove & BBQ Paint is a quick-drying, ultra-tough heat-resistant finish designed for stoves, BBQs, engines, radiators and other metal items subject to high temperature.

    Application Notes


    • Ensure surfaces to be painted are free from loose paint, rust, wax, oil and grease
    • Previously painted surfaces should be abraded to provide a key
    • Cover surrounding areas to protect from spray mist

    Application:

    • Shake can vigorously for 1 minute after mixing ball begins to rattle, continue to shake regularly during use
    • Hold can 30cm from surface and spray in a steady back and forth motion, slightly overlapping with each stroke
    • For best results whilst spraying keep the can the same distance from the surface and keep the can in motion
    • Apply several light coats a few minutes apart

    Please Note:

    • Allow 24 hours after application before gradually raising the temperature of the painted item up to full operating temperature (max 650°C)



    Limitations


    • Not suitable for application to areas subjected to direct contact with flames
    • Apply only when temperature is between 10-32°C and relative humidity below 85%
    • Special precautions should be taken during the surface preparation of pre 1960's paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead
    • When dry-sanding avoid dust inhalation by wearing a suitable protective face mask
    • A copy of the appropriate Health & Safety Data Sheet should be consulted prior to using the product

    what is best to use to clean paint brushes?

    This product is only available in an aerosol and is not for application by brush. 

    If the question is regarding another product we would recommend to consult the technical data sheet as this will list the specific thinner or cleaning agent to use for the product.

    Unfortunately no this would not be suitable, it should not be applied to any area that is subject to direct  flame contact.
