![]() | Question: I have been using Butinox No 1 which is oil based will the new formula which is water based be suitable to paint over the Butinox No 1. Regards, John. |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team: Yes, the substrate must be clean, sound and dry. Previously treated wood should be cleaned using a suitable cleaning agent. Rinse well with fresh water. Remove loose stain/wooden fibres. Glossy substrates should be matted down with a suitable cleaning agent (detergent) or sand paper before application of Jotun Demidekk Translucent Woodstain to ensure sufficient adhesion. | |
