Remmers iQ-Paint IR is a heat reflecting, low emission, solvent and plasticizer-free, interior wall paint. Wet abrasion according to DIN EN 13300, class 3. Wash resistant according to DIN 53 778. Remmers iQ-Paint IR is used for opaque coating of the iQ-Therm System and areas adjacent to surfaces restored with the iQ-Therm System, on mineral renders in groups P I to P III as well as gypsum plasterboard, wallpaper (rough fibre) and old, matt, loadbearing dispersion coatings.

iQ-Paint IR was especially developed for finishing the Remmers iQ-Therm System and areas adjacent to the restored surfaces. Radiant heat from radiators and other sources of radiation (e.g. humans) is reflected back into the room by iQ-Paint IR. This allows rooms to heat more quickly. The degree of IR reflection of iQ-Paint IR is 41% in the relevant wave length of 10 μm. Normal interior paints have an 8% degree reflection. The arithmetical U value can be reduced by up to 8% (a conversion is necessary for old buildings; see report by ZAE Bayern).

Notes

iQ-Paint IR is a functional coating. Mechanical wear may cause dark marks to form on the surface. This is only an aesthetic problem; the IR reflecting properties of the coating are not impaired. If improperly applied, roller marks may be visible in glancing light. There may be slight differences in the colour of different batches because of the mineral aggregates used. Always use material from the same batch for continuous surfaces.
