Remmers Liquid Foil is used for waterproofing in a bond on walls and floors, in baths, showers, kitchens, etc. It can be used on moisture-sensitive, absorbent substrates, e.g. gypsum building materials and absorbent cementitious substrates, e.g. screed, cement render, aerated concrete, sand-lime brick.
ZDB moisture classes O, AO1, AO2, A1. Liquid Foil is an easy to use, liquid surface waterproofing material that is used in damp and wet rooms under tiles. It is crack-bridging, even for subsequently occurring substrate cracks up to approx. 1mm in width when applied 2mm thick.

Can I use the liquid foil straight onto an emulsioned interior wall in the Livingroom? Then emulsion over it? Does it allow the wall to breathe?
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Remmers Liquid Foil is used for wet rooms, its main use is as an underlayment for tiling. We would not advise trying to stick to emulsion and it is an acrylic which is flexible so we would not advise painting with emulsion.
