     Pot life 10 min.
     Rain-proof 30 min.
     Walkable/Overcoatable  30 min.
     Fully cured 2 hours

Higher temperatures or greater proportions of catalyst will shorten reaction times, while lower temperatures and smaller proportions of catalyst will extend reaction times. The following table indicates the recommended amount of catalyst required to adjust the curing reaction to the temperature.

Substrate temperature in°C; required amounts of catalyst in % w/w (guide)

    Application Equipment/Tools

    For mixing the product:

    • Twin-paddle stirrer

    For applying the product:

    • Sheepskin Roller
    • Brush (only for areas not accessible with roller)

    Substrate Preparation

The primer must only be applied to a prepared substrate. Please refer to the appropriate application guide for information about correct surface preparation.

    Mixing

First stir the tub contents thoroughly. Then add the Ennis-Flint MMAXGRIP PRMX CATALYST while stirring the resin at the slow-speed setting and mix for 2 minutes. Make sure the that the product on the base and sides of the container is mixed in. At product temperatures <10˚C the product should be stirred for 4 minutes, as the MMAXGRIP PRMX CATALYST will take longer to dissolve.

    Application

Use the sheepskin roller to apply an even film-forming coat of primer. Avoid creating puddles of primer. Once the coating has cured, apply a second coat to cover any defects (bubbles, areas not fully coated).

    Preparation for Subsequent Layers

For the subsequent application of Mortar: Once the primer has hardened, apply a second layer and top with a little quartz sand (0.1 – 0.2kg/m² at 0.2 – 0.6mm) while the primer is still wet. The sand topping creates the necessary key. i.e. roughness, for application of the mortar. Never apply the topping to the first coat of primer.
