    • The above guidelines are for mixed material using normal catalyst levels.
    • The Dry to Recoat times listed indicate the time at which the film is partially cured with a slight surface tack (ideal for topcoating).
    • If the film becomes hard (without tackiness) the surface must be treated with xylol or other suitable aromatic solvent prior to recoating.
    • Alternatively (or if solvent treatment does not create a "tacky" surface), sweep blasting may be used to prepare the surface for recoating
    • Force curing is recommended for all severe or critical services as curing at elevated temperatures increases chemical resistance to some exposures.
    • Cure the applied film for 4 hours 24°C with good ventilation and then raise the temperature 15 degrees (°C) every 30 minutes until 55°C is achieved and hold for 24 hours

    • The above guidelines are for mixed material using double the normal catalyst levels.

    • Alternatively (or if solvent treatment does not create a "tacky" surface), sweep blasting may be used to prepare the surface for recoating.
    • Note: Immersion exposures are limited to salt water immersion only when cured at 7°C when using double the catalyst levels.

    Surface Preparation

    General

    • Surface must be clean and dry.
    • Oil and grease is removed with a suitable solvent like Carboline Thinner #2 or Carboline Surface Cleaner #3.

    Steel

    • Abrasive blast to Sa 2½ and obtain a blast profile from medium to coarse grade profile in accordance with ISO 8503-2.

    Concrete

    • Not recommended.

    Application Methods

    Product Information
Mixing:Power mix part A separately, then add catalyst and power mix
Part A 18 Ltr. Catalyst 275 ml - (Normal catalyst level)
Pot Life:Approximately 90 min. at 24°C with normal catalyst addition. At double the catalyst level the potlife is reduced to 30 min. At elevated temperatures (32°C) these potlife times will be reduced by 50%. The times will vary due to job site conditions and/or volume mass of mixed material. Pot life ends when coating starts to thicken. Take extreme caution when using additional catalyst levels or when using at higher temperatures.
    Airless Spray:Tip Size:0,027”-.0,036” (reversible type).
Remove filter in spray gun. Output PSI:2200 – 2500 PSI
Touch Up:In areas where the coating has been damaged or removed to the substrate, the following procedure is recommended:
    1. Clean and roughen substrate in the manner specified for the original application, or in cases where the substrate has not been exposed, remove the loose or damaged material to sound, tightly adhering material
    2. Grind to featheredge existing, sound material, remove the loose or damaged
    3. Solvent wipe edges and any overlap areas with Carboline Thinner #10 and apply repair material in one or two coats as specified.
Brush & Roller:May be used for small areas and touch-up
Multiple coats may be required to obtain desired thickness and film build.
For best results, tie-in within 10 minutes (at 24°C)
