Carboline Polyclad 951 is a two-component, wo-component, epoxy lining for “dry” natural gas transmission pipelines. It is designed to increase flow efficiency of natural gas in pipelines. This lining provides a smooth surface inside the pipe that will increase flow and reduce energy cost of transporting natural gas. Polyclad 951 offers corrosion protection of pipes during storage. It fully meets criteria of API RP 5L2 for gas transmission pipelines.
Reasons To Use Polyclad 951 | ||||
---|---|---|---|---|
Performance Feature | Advantage | Benefit | ||
Low surface roughness | Increase gas flow efficiency | Reduces energy cost associated with operating a pipeline | ||
Corrosion resistance | Helps prevent corrosion during storage before installation | Prevents pipe from corrosion damage thus maintaining smooth surface | ||
Hard and abrasion resistant | Improved resistance to damage | Improves pigging efficiency while maintaining smooth surface | ||
Long pot life | Better application properties | More flexible application schedule | ||
Coated steel surface | Aids in cleaning process and dries quicker after hydrostatic testing | Saves time and reduces contamination |
