Have new hand hewn beams, and carved posts made of hemp fir or doug fir. Want to be able to recoat each year. Is this a penetrating oil that will protect the wood from rot, uv rays, and mildew? Will I be able to recoat without striping each year. Thanks so much.

I want to stain an old church pew and then leave it outside for summer. I’ve stripped the varnish from it and it’s a bland, grey colour. My instinct is to “feed” it and to give it some colour. Normally I would wax the wood. If I do this will your product “take” and afford some protection and, ideally, make it water resistant ? Thanks in advance
