Blackfriar Concentrated Fungicidal Wash when diluted, produces a solution for killing moulds, algae and other organic growths. Effectively sterilises surfaces prior to decoration. Surface biocide for professional use against fungal and algal growths on hard surfaces. For use only as a surface biocide.
Preparation
Remove dirt or grease deposits and any flaking or loosely attached surface coatings. Scrape off mosses, lichens, mould or algae growths or use a stiff brush. The remaining spores will then be killed by washing down with one or two applications of Fungicidal Wash.

Users must comply in full with all their legal responsibilities under The Control of Pesticides Regulations 1986 (as amended), including complying with all Conditions of Approval.
Application
Surface biocide for professional use against fungal and algal growths on hard surfaces. The contents of this 240ml container should be diluted with clean water to make 5 litres of a 0.6% benzalkonium chloride solution. Apply to all infected surfaces and adjacent areas. Allow 24 hours for the treatment to be fully effective. Two applications are recommended for heavily infected surfaces.
Coverage
Apply 1 litre of diluted product per 6-8 square metres by brush or spray. Very absorbent surfaces may require more. Apply diluted product as necessary by cloth.
Clean Up
Clean equipment with plenty of water after use.
Safety
ACTIVE INGREDIENT: BENZALKONIUM CHLORIDE 13% W/W (130 G/L) CONTAINS: Quarternary ammonium compounds, benzylcoco alkyldimethyl, chlorides. Causes burns. Very toxic to aquatic organisms. The COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) Regulations 2002 (as amended) apply to the use of this product at work.
Avoid excessive contamination of coveralls. DO NOT CONTAMINATE FOODSTUFFS, EATING UTENSILS OR FOOD CONTACT SURFACES.
This material and its container must be disposed of in a safe way. Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection when diluting. Avoid contact with skin. When using do not eat or drink. Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. Do not empty into drains. Do not contaminate ground, waterbodies or watercourses with chemicals or used container. KEEP AWAY FROM TREATED SURFACES UNTIL DRY.
In case of insufficient ventilation wear suitable respiratory equipment. Guidance on suitable respiratory protective equipment and eye protection is provided in HSE Booklet HS(G)53: “The Selection, Use and Maintenance of Respiratory Protective Equipment - A Practical Guide”.
Do not breathe gas/fumes/vapour/spray (appropriate wording to be specified by the manufacturer). WASH HANDS AND EXPOSED SKIN before meals and after use. Keep out of the reach of children. KEEP IN A SAFE PLACE. In case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately (show the label where possible).
