    Description

Zinsser AllWeather Exterior Masonry Paint is an ultimate performance, exterior masonry paint that can be used on bare or previously painted masonry at low temperatures. Designed for the long term decoration of bare or previously painted concrete, render, stone and brickwork. Self-priming.

It contains a biocide to protect the dried coating against fungal degradation. AllWeather Exterior Masonry Paint gives excellent resistance against cracking, blistering and flaking and protects against rain and severe weather. AllWeather Exterior Masonry Paint provides a long lasting finish, is easy to apply and has excellent colour retention. It dries even in low temperatures so can be used all year round.

    Recommended Uses

    • Exterior masonry surfaces
    • New painted render
    • Previously painted render
    • Stucco
    • Brick
    • Stone
    • Cured concrete

In many instances AllWeather Exterior Masonry Paint is self-priming and will bond to existing paints without sanding so for many refurbishing jobs there is no need to purchase a separate primer. After removing existing mould and mildew, two coats of AllWeather Exterior Masonry Paint will ensure that any exterior looks bright and beautiful for years.

    Question:

*What is the recommended amount of coats for external domestic masonry? thank you

    Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

Assuming the substrate is prepared as detailed in the technical datasheet, two coats of this product should be applied to ensure the substrate is protected for up to 15 years performance after application, with coverage of 12m2 per litre.

    Question:

Hi I have bought Wethertex AP77 masonry paint from you before. Please advise if Zinsser All Weather Masonry is a good alternative. We need enough for 24 garages for a block of maisonettes. I like this as it can be applied in low temp. But what is the longevity? The Wethertex AP 77 says 20 years. Please clarify. sarah 07855381984

    Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

Assuming the substrate is clean, dry, sound, and prepared as detailed in the technical datasheet, Zinsser AllWeather Exterior Masonry Paint could be an option for this application.

It is a Solvent-Based paint that can be applied in temperatures as low as -5°C, available in 4400+ RAL, BS & NCS Colours designed for use on bare or previously painted masonry, that will offer a flat matt breathable finish.

It has an expected lifespan of up to 15 years after application.

    Question:

I know this is hard to say, but on a previously painted wall typically how many coats would you expect need to be applied. Is one coat enough?

    Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

Assuming the surface is clean, dry and any existing coating is sound, then two coats of this product are recommended for application in accordance with the technical data sheet.

questions Graham Wyles on 2023-05-07 11:22:37
    Question:

I have an exterior wall where metal edgings have rusted.I plan to use a rust converter and two coatings metal primer paint. Then re paint the whole wall including the metal paint primed bit with the exterior Zinsser exterior masonry paint. Can you confirm this will work OK and maybe offer a novice any tips? Thanks GrahamWyles

    Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

This product can be applied to masonry, but it is not resistant to corrosion coming through from the metal edging.

In most cases the corrosion may return if the edging is not replaced for a plastic version.

We would recommend to test on a small area prior to full application for compatibility and adhesion between your choosen metal primer and the masonry paint.

    Question:

I have a buamit render on one wall, can you scan in a swatch colour match this paint for another wall, if so how do do I do tjhat

    Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

Unfortunately scanning a sample is not currently a service we can offer, we would recommend viewing a physical RAL, NCS or BS colour chart to choose a suitable match.

We have these available to view on our trade counter in Leeds or to purchase here.
