Hempacore AQ 48860 is a one-component water-borne, chlorine free, physically drying intumescent coating for passive fire protection of structural steel against cellulosic fires.

• 0 g/l VOC according to ISO11890-2
• Suitable for in-shop and on-site applications
• Use as intumescent fire protection for structural steel in interior use up to C2 conditions (ISO 12944-2: 1998): suitable for I-beams, I-columns and hollow columns
• Also use as a repair and touch-up coating for damaged areas of freshly applied Hempacore AQ
• Tested and approved according to EN13381-8 and BS 476-21 for up to 90 minutes fire protection. CE marked product with European Technical Assessment ETA 13/1054 according to ETAG018 Part 2
• Apply with airless spray or brush. Nozzle orifice: 0.017 - 0.023 " Nozzle pressure: 200 bar [2900 psi]
• Can be used on steel, galvanised steel, thermal spray aluminium/zinc coated steel and stainless steel

Remarks

• Only available in white, but can be top coated with an approved topcoat in any colour. If unsure contact our technical team at 0113 2455450 (option 2) or send a message to [email protected]
• Can be over-coated with itself when additional thickness is required
• Depending on the end use of the coating system, a topcoat may be required
