Sherwin-Williams FIRETEX FX9500
Sherwin-Williams FIRETEX FX9500 is a scrim free, epoxy intumescent coating suitable for cellulosic fire protection designed for extreme external environments. It is designed for application by airless spray to provide fire resistance for periods of up to 120 minutes on structural steel. It is an exterior durable intumescent, which can be applied directly onto blast cleaned steel.

For use in internal and external environments without topcoat.

Offering an aesthetically pleasing appearance which requires no back rolling or sanding, Sherwin-Williams FIRETEX FX9500 is a cost effective, scrim free, high volume solids product, with user friendly application properties which can be applied by single airless leg spray.

Where a high degree of gloss and colour retention is required overcoat with Acrolon C137V2, Acrolon 7300, Acrolon 1850 within 7 days at a minimum dft of 50 microns or in the case of Acrolon C750V2 overcoat within 4 days. These overcoating times refer to achievement of optimum adhesion at 23°C and will vary with temperature.
Sherwin-Williams FIRETEX FX9500 is indefinitely over-coatable with itself.
