Envirograf ES/VFR Primer is a water-based clear primer to apply over existing paint or varnish surfaces before applying subsequent compatible fire protection systems to improve compatibility and adhesion with various substrates.
Preparation
The substrate surface must be clean of all dust and dry. There should be no trace of oil, grease or similar substance. The surface should be sanded smooth, if timber is pre-varnished, ensure the surface is clean and sanded appropriately.
Application
It is important to ensure the moisture content of the wood substrate is below 17% before application. We recommend that Envirograf ES/VFR Primer is always applied before the ES/VFR system is used, even on bare timber.
