Thermoguard Flame Retardant Anti-Graffiti BS Class 1/0 & EN Class B System is a system kit providing an anti-graffiti, decorative, flame retardant coating for bare & painted walls. Water-based, high durability two-pack chemically cured coating system, designed to enable removal of graffiti with graffiti remover.

Thermoguard Flame Retardant Anti-Graffiti BS Class 1/0 & EN Class B System is available in two cost effective kit options depending on the substrate:

• Option 1: 40m² Pack for painted walls with matching or similar colour comprising 1 x 5kg Pack of Thermoguard Flame Retardant Anti-Graffiti Bond & Colour Coat and 1 x 5kg pack of Thermoguard Flame Retardant Anti-Graffiti Clear Glaze
• Option 2: 40m² Pack for normal porosity bare walls or contrasting colours comprising 2 x 5kg Packs of Thermoguard Flame Retardant Anti-Graffiti Bond & Colour Coat and 1 x 5kg pack of Thermoguard Flame Retardant Anti-Graffiti Clear Glaze

Each pack contains the correct amount of basecoat (Colour Coat) and topcoat (Clear Glaze) to ensure protection is achieved inline with the manufacturers recommendations to the respective area in question.

The Bonding Primer Colour Coat provides excellent adhesion & opacity. The Clear Glaze provides exceptional resistance to oils, inks, crayon, marker and spray paints.

When used in conjunction one coat each of Thermoguard Flame Retardant Anti-Graffiti Bond & Colour Coat and Thermoguard Flame Retardant Anti-Graffiti Clear Glaze, combine to upgrade high-flamespread-risk “multilayer” painted walls to Class O and Class B s1 dO.

To bare, painted & multi-layer painted walls:

• Over painted walls with matching or similar colour, apply – 1 coat Thermoguard Flame Retardant Anti-Graffiti Bonding Primer Colour Coat + 1 coat Flame Retardant Ant-Graffiti Clear Glaze
• Over normal porosity bare walls or contrasting colours, apply – 2 coats Thermoguard Flame Retardant Anti-Graffiti Bonding Primer Colour Coat + 1 coat Flame Retardant Ant-Graffiti Clear Glaze

System Components

Surface Preparation

• Surfaces should be clean, dry & free from contamination
• New render/mortar must be through dry
• Existing paint must be firmly adhered
• Abrade old Anti-Graffiti or other hard, smooth, impermeable paints with 120 grit abrasive to get a good key & dust off
• Ensure good ventilation and do not apply if condensation may occur
• Seal bare areas with 1 coat of Thermoguard Flame Retardant Anti-Graffiti Bond & Colour Coat thinned 5% with water

Application

• Apply by brush, roller or spray
• Air min. 10°C, surfaces min 3°C above dew point during application & drying
• Stir base and activator thoroughly, then mix, stirring to create a homogenous mix (a paint stirrer on an electric drill is recommended)
• Pot life once mixed 2 hours

Apply:

• 1 coat Thermoguard Flame Retardant Anti-Graffiti Bonding Primer Colour Coat. Note: 2 coats MUST be applied on bare surfaces or contrasting colours
• 1 coat Flame Retardant Clear Glaze

Composition

• Thermoguard Flame Retardant Anti-Graffiti Bond & Colour Coat – High grade fade-resistant coloured pigments & adhesion promoters
• Thermoguard Flame Retardant Anti-Graffiti Clear Glaze – High durability scrub, Flame Spread & Chemical Resistant Resin

Both are water-based.

Curing

Please Note: Colder temperatures or high humidity delay dry, cure & hardening.

Storage

Thermoguard Flame Retardant Anti-Graffiti Bond & Colour Coat:

• Store in tightly closed original container in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place
• Store in closed original container at temperatures between 5°C and 25°C
• Protect from freezing and direct sunlight
• Keep upright

Thermoguard Flame Retardant Anti-Graffiti Clear Glaze:

• Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame
• Store in closed original container at temperatures between 5°C and 25°C
• Keep upright
• Store separated from: Oxidising material. Alkalis. Acids
