Together with one of the Bollom Flameguard Ultra Topcoats this system provides a means of achieving your desired colour scheme and finish, whilst providing Class 0 on the painted surface. The paints are designed to inhibit surface spread of flame and heat release, providing vital escape time in the event of a fire.
NOTE:It is important to speak to our Technical Department and refer to the product data sheet prior to using this product to ensure the correct specification has been chosen for your surface.
Preparation
Ensure the surface to be painted is sound, clean, dry and free from grease or any substance liable to give adhesion problems. Treat any knots. Scrape off any old or flaking paint until you have a firm well adhered surface; if in doubt remove all existing coatings. For existing gloss and eggshell finishes wet abrade and rinse with clean water to remove any residues.
Application
- Stir well before use.
- Applied by brush or airless spray, can be applied by roller but must be subsequently laid off with a brush to achieve a smooth finish.
- Bollom Broflame Ultra Basecoat must not be thinned.
- Coverage rates must be adhered to in order to achieve the Class 0 upgrade.
- Apply two coats @ 5m² per litre/per coat taking care to avoid runs or sags allow at least 4 hours between coats. After the second coat leave 24 hours before applying Flameguard Ultra Top coats.

To obtain the completed certificates for a project customers should email [email protected] with the following details:
- Proof of purchase
- The contractors/applicators name and contact details (tel. no, email, address)
- Batch number(s) of product(s) used
- Site address
