    questions Barbara on 2022-12-02 07:23:22
    Question:

Is this product suitable as a primer for old concrete floors, as the spec says for dense, power-floated concrete? I think the floor I want to paint could be a bit porous, and is a bit pitted in places. I want to paint it with Rust-oleum 7200. Water gets splashed on it and it’s walked over a lot.

    Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

No this primer is not suitable for application to a porous floor or compatible with Rust-Oleum 7200 Floorcoat PU.

Assuming the concrete floor is bare, clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet Rust-Oleum 7200 Floorcoat PU can be applied directly.

The first coat should be thinned 5% with Rust-Oleum Thinner 633.

    Question:

Could pls tell me the primer is applicable for stainless steel pipe for painting?

    Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

Yes this can be applied to non-ferrous metals like stainless steel, aluminium or hot-dip galvaninsed steel, assuming it is clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet.

questions Bill King on 2021-04-27 06:05:54
    Question:

Hi, do you have a Matt black or can you add a colour dye to this. Thanks Bill.

    Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

I'm afraid we wouldn't recommend introducing any form of dye or colourant to this product, it is available in clear only. It cannot be left as a finish though so a topcoat must be used.

    questions Dave on 2019-05-02 07:47:24
    Question:

Hi could you advise me if this product is suitable for priming porcelain floor tiles?and if so what you recommend as a top coat/sealer?

    Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

Yes, clean thoroughly and lightly abrade before application. We would suggest finishing with Rust-Oleum 9200 Rust-O-Thane.

    Question:

Hi Can you tell me what area of coverage will I get from one litre of the super adhesion primer please? Thanks Amanda

    Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

The theoretical coverage for Rust-Oleum 3333 Super Adhesion Primer is 41m²/litre

    questions claire on 2018-07-23 22:57:33
    Question:

I have some clay tiles (like quarry tiles but says made of clay) I have old quarry tiles cleaned and sealed but the new ones in clay don't hold the sealer. It easily comes off with bare feet or if it gets wet with washing up water etc in kitchen. Should I apply a clear primer over the top of the sealant that has just been put on for the 3rd time or which primer would you suggest? Is there a clear primer/ sealant which would stick to the tiles please and provide protection. Gloss preferably as the old quarry tiles have been gloss sealed. thanks

    Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

Our best recommendation for this would be to remove all existing coatings and try a test area with Rust-Oleum 4900 Polycoat 2K to ensure it is suitable before coating the whole area.

    questions Sharon on 2017-01-12 08:04:05
Question: Hi could you tell me the difference between Rust-Oleum super adhesive primer 333 and and the 333 handy pack. Thanks,Sharon
    Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

There is no difference between the products, the Handy Pack has been developed to make one off smaller projects easier with more user friendly packaging and instructions.
