Remove oil, grease and all other surface contaminations by alkaline or high pressure (steam) cleaning in combination with appropriate detergents. Remove all laitance, loose or unsound concrete by vacuum-blasting or etching with Rust-Oleum Mathys 108 Surfa Etch Solution. Remove concrete curing compounds completely. Large surfaces should preferably be prepared by abrasive blasting (vacuum blasting) or flame cleaning. Profile maximum 0.5mm. Defects in the concrete should be repaired with Rust-Oleum 5180 Epoxy Repair Mortar. Small (hair) cracks and air-pockets should be repaired with Rust-Oleum 5412 Epoxy Filler. The surface should be clean and dry during application.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Stir individual components thoroughly before mixing them together. Use a low speed mixer in combination with the boxing method.

questions DEAN JONES on 2019-06-06 20:43:38
Question:

can this primer be used on concrete prior to a resin bond drive system being laid ?

Answer:

As Rust-Oleum have no knowledge or experience of the proposed system to be applied over their primer they would not recommend this type of use as they could offer no guarantees of it working and unfortunately we presume a trial prior to full application would not be feasible in this instance.

questions nic excell on 2019-03-18 11:59:16
Question:

Can this be applied to existing paint containing leadwork?

Answer:

No, it is intended to provide a good key for adhesion on bare, porous, mineral substrates prior to the application of several Rust-Oleum systems.
