Coo-Var Profloor Plus is a heavy duty, low viscosity, solvent free epoxy floor paint with outstanding abraision and chemical resistance. Coo-Var Profloor Plus has the benefit of being solvent free, it is low odour during application which allows usage in areas where taint could be a problem. Ideal for use in factories, workshops/garages, stadiums and other high wear public places. An anti-slip option is available.
All surfaces should be clean, dry, sound and free from contaminants. Concrete - power floated, granolithic and smooth surfaces should be roughened first to provide a good "key" for the paint. This can be done mechanically by abrading or blasting, or chemically using Coo-Var Acid Etch. These processes will have the advantage in addition to preparing the surface of also removing dirt and laitance. New concrete must be allowed to cure thoroughly which can take up to 3 months. Other surfaces have to be prepared and primed with the suitable primer for that substrate. Existing painted surfaces - Surfaces should be cleaned, degreased and sanded to ensure an adequate "key" is produced. Remove all loose and flaking material and treat bare areas as new substrate and prepare accordingly.
As dictated by normal good painting practice. Do not apply if the temperature is likely to drop below 10°C during application or during the drying process. In confined spaces, provide adequate ventilation during application and drying.
Apply direct to ordinary stable concrete. Coo-Var High Performance Primer should be used where the surface is smooth, polished or porous. On Metal use Teamac 2 Pack Zinc Phosphate Primer. Can be used on wood, asphalt and tarmac. Coo-Var Dampshield and Coo-Var Oil Tolerant Primers are also available. See relevant Technical Data Sheets.
Please Note: Coo-Var Profloor Plus requires professional and careful application. Special colours can be produced, but may be subject to a surcharge and extended lead times - Please call the Technical Department for further information on 0113 2455450.

Question: I have recently painted my factory floor with coo-var profloor plus.
The paint is subject to heavy traffic including fork lift trucks driving on it.
So far the paint is holding up well but has only been down for a week and is very dirty including marks from the fork lift truck tyres.
What is the best method of cleaning the paint? I am looking for something which is effective but non-damaging to the paint.
Rust-Oleum Floor Cleaner should meet your requirements.
