Rust-Oleum Non-Skid Additive NS 500
Rust-Oleum Non-Skid Additive NS 500 is a specially selected non-skid additive that can be mixed with the required Rust-Oleum coating system or sprinkled into the freshly applied coating to produce a non-skid surface.
Rust-Oleum Non-Skid Additive NS 500 is based on aluminium oxide granules, the black version is a mixture of aluminum oxide with carborundum and iron oxide. Rust-Oleum Non-Skid Additive NS 500 is intended to be added to floor coatings to produce a non-skid surface and can be used in combination with the following Rust-Oleum Floor coatings:
- Rust-Oleum B95SL Flexible Self Levelling Epoxy
- Rust-Oleum 5500 Solvent Free Epoxy
- Rust-Oleum 9100 Epoxy
- Rust-Oleum 9600 Rust-O-Thane Polyurethane
- Rust-Oleum Mathys Pegakote
- Rust-Oleum 9700 Coldmax Rapid
- Rust-Oleum 5800 Epoxy Rapid WB
Rust-Oleum Non-Skid Additive NS 500 can be mixed with the required Rust-Oleum coating system or can be sprinkled into the freshly applied coating manually or with special low pressure spraying equipment. Rust-Oleum Non-Skid Additive NS 500 is intended for Non-Skid industrial flooring and should be topcoated with the required Rust-Oleum system if sprinkled.

- Dense: 2 m²/kg
Directions for Use
Sprinkling: Sprinkle the granulates onto the freshly applied, wet Rust-Oleum coating, manually with a "sprinkler-box" for small areas, or with special low-pressure spraying equipment with a nozzle opening of at least 18 mm (¼ inch); air pressure between 1 - 3 bars.
Mixing: Mix the granulates into the wet coating material and apply the coating with a roller or a brush (not by spraying), stir regularly to avoid settling of the granulates.
Note: For a less coarse anti-slip layer Anti-Slip additive NS 200 is recommended.
