Remmers Ceramix 20/30 is a decorative mixture of aggregates for coloured quartz floorings, e.g. decorative pebble covers or stone imitation covers. Coloured quartz sand with a grain size of approx. 2 - 3mm, e.g. for use as aggregate for Remmers decorative pebble coverings.
The mortar is composed of 1 part by weight of an epoxy resin, e.g. Remmers Epoxy UV 100 and approx. 12,5 parts by weight of Ceramix 20/30. The mortar is uniformly distributed over the surface with the appropriate thickness, levelled and compacted by repeated smoothing.
In areas that are particularly exposed to UV rays colour alterations are possible. An external grade is available with high resistance to UV – contact us for more information.
The various Ceramix grain sizes are made of quartz grains covered with an artificial resins. Natural quartzes present different colours depending on the layer from which they were mined. This means that, notwithstanding the formulation adjustments that are made, batches delivered at different times might differ in colour. To ensure that the surface colour is uniform, sands from different batches must be mixed before use. It is not possible to perfectly match the colour of existing surfaces. Colours will also inevitably differ between different grain sizes.
The open pores of the surface shape the utilisation properties of the covering. Not suitable for wet areas.
