Coverage
Expected spreading rate of 11m²/litre at 30 microns dry film thickness.
The practical spreading rate may be lower as this depends on factors such as the porosity and roughness of the surface to be painted and material losses during application
Surface Preparation
All surfaces should be clean, dry, sound and free from contaminants
Concrete - power floated, granolithic and smooth surfaces should be roughened first to provide a good "key" for the paint
This can be done mechanically by abrading or blasting, or chemically using Acid Etch
These processes will have the advantage in addition to preparing the surface of also removing dirt and laitance
New concrete must be allowed to cure thoroughly which can take up to 3 months
Other surfaces must be prepared and primed with the suitable primer for that substrate
Existing painted surfaces - Surfaces should be cleaned, degreased and sanded to ensure an adequate "key" is produced
Remove all loose and flaking material and treat bare areas as new substrate and prepare accordingly
Mixing:
Mix well before use
Priming:
Apply direct to wood, suitable metals primer on metal, Acrylic Floor Paint thinned 5% with clean water on all other unpainted surfaces
Application
As dictated by normal good painting practice
Do not apply if the temperature is likely to drop below 7 °C during application or during the drying process
In confined spaces, provide adequate ventilation during application and drying

Question: I have a tarmac floored car port that is been turned into an enclosed garage/workshop.The floor had some largish voids in the tarmac,is it ok to still use the 313 Acrylic floor paint or do i have to find a leveling compound to make the floor smooth?
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
The floor will need to be made good before any coating is applied to it. We would suggest any repairs are made with something like Rust-Oleum 5410 Asphalt Repair and then the floor can be coated with something like Rust-Oleum Tarmacoat.
