Coo-Var Anti-Damp Paint
Coo-Var Anti-Damp Paint is a white, special low odour, efflorescence resistant, resin-based paint for application to damp interior walls and ceilings. Designed as a primer coat.

Coo-Var Anti-Damp Paint is a white, special low odour, efflorescence resistant resin-based paint for application to damp interior walls and ceilings. Designed as a primer coat containing an active reagent which combines with surface moisture and dampness. Contains a biocidal product for the preservation of the dry film and to reduce discolouration. Can be over-coated.
- Damp surfaces IF not saturated.
All surfaces should be clean, sound and free from contaminants and grease. Can be applied to damp surfaces but ensure the surfaces are not saturated.
Scrape and brush the surface to remove any loose flaking material. Flat down glossy surfaces with abrasive paper. Treat any mould or lichen with a proprietary mould remover with a scraper or a stiff brush then treat again.
Remove sources of damp and repair structural problems prior to application. Ensure all sources of damp are repaired prior to treatment, this includes structural, plumbing faults and rising damp.
Apply by brush, roller or spray.
Brush wash/thinner – White spirit
Recommended Dried Film Thickness Per Coat: 40 microns
Recommended Wet Film Thickness Per Coat: 110 microns
Touch dry 2 hours
Hard dry 8 hours
12 hours or overnight
Estimated coverage: 9m²/litre.
NOTE: This paint will not cure the cause of dampness.
