The practical spreading rate may be lower as this depends on factors such as the porosity and roughness of the surface to be painted and material losses during application.

The data sheet says it can be reapplied coat on coat, with the weather as poor as it is this year I’m waiting to apply second coat. Does it need to keyed prior to another coat or can it just be over coated on itself ?. And can I just key it each year and apply another coat as and when required?. Thank you |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team: This product can be applied coat on coat. However, if the previous coat has fully cured, which takes around 5 days at 20 Degrees ░, you'll need to abrade the existing coating, which will ensure the subsequent coat can adhere successfully. | |

Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team: This paint is not aquatic friendly, assuming the galvanised is bare, clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the Technical Data sheet (treated with Teamac Mordant Solution (T Wash) prior to application ) we can recommend Teamac Metaclor Antifouling Primer followed by Teamac Chlorvar Chlorinated Rubber Paint. Once fully cured this is will be fine for aquatic life. | |

Alternatively one coat can be applied if another suitable topcoat is being applied subsequently. For greater protection prime first with Teamac Zinc Phosphate Primer. | |
