Zingalufer, previously known as Alufer N, an intermediate layer or topcoat for existing layers of Zinga in immersed or chemical environments, such as ship hulls and sewage works, providing a protective seal against salt and chemical exposure.
Apply by brush, roller, conventional sprayers or airless spray
One pack system
Dry in as little as 4 hours (see drying times table in description below)
Zingalufer, previously known as Alufer N, provides a protective seal against salt and chemical exposure as an intermediate layer or topcoat for an existing layer of Zinga in immersed or chemical environments, such as ship hulls and sewage works.
A moisture curing one pack polyurethane, micaceous iron oxides (MIO) create a special lamellar structure which create a very tight paint film for optimal barrier protection and corrosion resistance. Zingalufer is used as a sealer on Zinga, an intermediate coat in a three layer Zinga system. In covered areas where there is no UV exposure, Zingalufer can be used as a topcoat.
As part of a Duplex system with Zinga (or any zinc coating), the internationally recognised "Mist Coat" technique is required to ensure a trouble free application. For more specific and detailed recommendations concerning application, please contact our technical team on 0113 2455450. For detailed information about the health and safety hazards and precautions for use, refer to the safety data sheet in the attachments tab above.

Zinga is a one-component anti-corrosion zinc coating system that provides cathodic protection to steel comparable with hot-dip galvanising, with the added advantage that it can be applied as though it were a paint, and is certified to not spread flame or create smoke (BS476 parts 6&7).
Can protect longer than hot-dip galvanising (at the...
Zingasolv is the recommended thinner to be used with Zinga, Zingalu and Alu ZM when spraying. It can also be used for cleaning equipment.
