This product was designed for brush application onto large areas. It has been developed to provide a long 'wet edge' and an extended drying time. It may not be suitable for small areas or areas that are due to be returned to service in short time-frames. HMG Coach Enamel can be used as a quicker drying alternative.
Surface Preparation
Ensure surfaces to be coated are dry and must be cleaned using the appropriate HMG product to remove all traces of contaminants.

Hi, I was wondering if this is suitable as a top coat over a zinc phosphate primer (alkyd). Also what what would be the recommended thinner? Regards, Jason
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
We would recommend testing for compatibility and adhesion prior to full application with your primer.
The manufacturers recommended primer is HMG Synthetic BDX Primer, this is also an alkyd based primer.
The paint is designed for brush application and is not to be thinned.
