    Surface Preparation

    General

    • Surface must be clean and dry
    • Employ adequate methods to remove dirt, dust, oil and all other contaminants that could interfere with adhesion of the coating

    Steel

    • For immersion service: abrasive blast cleaning to min. Sa 2 (ISO 8501-1)
    • For non-immersion service: hand- or power tool cleaning to min. St 2 (ISO 8501-1) is acceptable
    • Alternatively, ultra high pressure water jetting to Nace No. 7 min. C Vis WJ-2. Max flash rust; C Vis WJ-2M

    Aluminium

    • Hand or power tool cleaning with non-metallic abrasives is acceptable to remove polish from the surface

    Special Instruction

    • Steel, concrete, or suitable primers as Carbo-Kit Carbozinc 858. May be applied directly over galvanized steel, aluminium, stainless steel and aged coating surface

    Application Methods

    Product Information
Mixing:Power mix separately, then add part B to Part A and power mix
    Do not mix partial kits
    Thinning:Normally not required
May be thinned up to 15% with Carboline Thinner 2
    Ratio:1:1 (A to B) by volume
Pot Life:2 hours at 20°C and less at higher temperatures
