Tor Non-Tainting Bitumen Solution for coating steelwork such as water tanks, hay sheds, etc. The general purpose bituminous paint can be applied by brush, roller or airless sprayer, drying after 8 hours.
If using with water tanks, allow 7 days drying before refilling tank with water. Allow to stand for 24 hours – discharge and then re-fill*.
*Not suitable for drinking water storage tanks

Steel:
Minimum acceptable is mechanical wire brushing etc to give Swedish ST2 Standard.
Apply the first coat and work it well into the steel surface using a brush – allow to dry.
When hard dry apply a heavier second coat and “lay off” in one direction.

Cannot be overcoated with conventional paints without typical bitumen bleed discolouration.
