Jotun Jotamastic 90 Aluminium WG is a two component winter grade polyamine cured epoxy mastic coating. It is a surface tolerant, abrasion resistant, high solids, high build product. This product is the winter grade version of Jotamastic 90 Aluminium to aid application in lower temperatures (from -5 °C) and to provide faster drying and curing times.
This version of Jotun Jotamastic 90 WG is aluminium pigmented for improved barrier effect. Specially designed for areas where optimum surface preparation is not possible or required.
Jotun Jotamastic 90 Aluminium WG provides long lasting protection in environments with high corrosivity and can be used as primer, mid coat, finish coat or as single coat system in atmospheric and immersed environments. Suitable for properly prepared carbon steel, galvanised steel, stainless steel, aluminium, concrete and a range of aged coating surfaces.
Primarily designed for maintenance and repair for general use. It can also be used in marine environments for outside hulls, exterior and interior areas.
Jotun Jotamastic 90 Aluminium WG is recommended as a protective coating for offshore environments, including splash zones, refineries, power plants, bridges, buildings, mining equipment and general structural steel.

Product Data
Technical Data |
---|
Solids by volume | 80 ± 2 % |
Gloss level (GU 60 °) | Semi Gloss (35-70) |
Flash point | 36 °C |
Density | 1.4 kg/l |
VOC-EU | 213 g/l |
The provided data is typical for factory produced products, subject to slight variation depending on colour.
All data is valid for mixed paint.
Small colour variations may occur when changing between the two curing agents. If exposed to weathering without topcoat, the Wintergrade (WG) version will yellow at a faster rate than the same colour in Standard grade.

Heat Resistance
| Temperature |
---|
| Continuous | Peak |
Dry, atmospheric | 120 °C | - |
Peak temperature duration max. 1 hour.
The temperatures listed relate to retention of protective properties. Aesthetic properties may suffer at these temperatures.
Note that the coating will be resistant to various immersion temperatures depending on the specific chemical and whether immersion is constant or intermittent. Heat resistance is influenced by the total coating system. If used as part of a system, ensure all coatings in the system have similar heat resistance.
