Question:

Hi Could this paint used on the outside of a bbq? The coals will be tounching the bottom and side. Thanks

Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

This paint is designed to be used on substrates at a constant high temperature and as such does not have much corrosion protection.

Assuming the BBQ is taken back to bare steel, it is clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the Technical data sheet we can recommend Rust-Oleum Heat Resistant Paint 750°C.

This is available in smaller tin sizes but is only designed for internal applications or those in a sheltered external environment.
