Hempadur Easy 47700 is a high-build, pure epoxy coating which cures to a hard and tough coating with good resistance to abrasion and seawater.

• Recommended thinner: Hempel Thinner 08450
• Recommended cleaner: Hempel Thinner 08450 or Hempel Tool Cleaner 99610

Note: If brush or roller application is used, more coats will be necessary to achieve the specified dry film thickness. Spray data are indicative and subject to adjustment. Pressure is for a material temperature of 20°C.

Product may be specified in another film thickness than indicated depending on purpose and area of use. This will alter spreading rate, drying and curing time and overcoating interval. For best performance, avoid excessive film thickness.

Epoxy coats have an inherent tendency of chalking in outdoor exposure. This does not affect the performance of the coating

Overcoating

Hempel’s specification supersedes any guidelines indicated in the product data sheet. Overcoating times are indicative for products of the same generic chemistry.

Hempadur Easy 47700 :

• • 18 hours - 90 days @ -10°C
  • 8 hours - 56 days @ 0°C
  • 120 minutes - 14 days @ 20°C
  • 90 minutes - 10 days @ 30°C

Hempathane HS 55610:

• • 18 hours - 90 days @ -10°C
  • 8 hours - 40 days @ 0°C
  • 120 minutes - 10 days @ 20°C
  • 90 minutes - 7½ days @ 30°C

  • 12 hours - 56 days @ 0°C
  • 3 hours - 14 days @ 20°C
