Blackfriar Metallic Paint is a bright metallic finish for decorating and gilding ornamental plasterwork, wood, metal railings, picture frames, models, fleur-de-lis, memorabilia & furniture.
Blackfriar Metallic Paint lets you get creative – enrich and gild interior and exterior surfaces. Ideal for ornamental plasterwork, picture frames, decorations, theatre props, furniture, radiators and textured wall finishes.
Preparation
Ensure surface to be coated is clean, dry, sound and free from wax, grease or any other contamination. Previously painted surfaces in sound condition should be abraded and degreased prior to application of Blackfriar Metallic Paint. Bare or new surfaces should be primed with the appropriate Blackfriar Primer.
Application
Stir thoroughly prior to use with a broad stirrer. The product may be applied by using a soft brush, short pile roller or spray. Apply the paint as evenly as possible to maintain an overall consistent finish. Like all metallic paints the most uniform finish is achieved by spraying. Application marks can be left in the film when brushing and rollering. Do not overwork the wet paint film when brushing or rollering.
Thinning
Maximum 10% water.
Limitations
Do not use under cold (less than 10°C), damp or humid conditions. Surfaces subject to high wear (eg. handrails) or high humidity (eg. kitchen or bathroom) can cause the metallic finish to prematurely tarnish. It is advisable under these conditions to overcoat the Metallic Paint with Blackfriar Quick Drying Clear Varnish.
Drying Time
Touch dry in 1 hour. Recoat after 4 hours. Drying times are based on an ambient temperature of 20°C and 50% relative humidity. Lower temperatures or higher humidity will prolong the drying and overcoating times.
Clean Up
Remove as much product as possible from application equipment before washing with water. Do not empty into drains or water courses. Some local authorities have special facilities for the disposal of waste coatings.
Storage
Store in a dry, safe place. Do not store in environments where extreme temperatures may occur. Keep within 5-30°C. Do not store in direct sunlight.

I am looking for a paint suitable for the frame of my shower cubicle. This came up on google, and I wanted to check it is suitable? I understand I will need to buy and apply a primer also.
Answer:
It is not specifically designed for this application but if the areas to paint will not be in contact with water from the shower then it would be OK. If it is to be on areas directly wet by the shower then it wouldn't be a suitable product to use.

Question: Can the metallic paint be used on my glass garden table. Can it be used on the metal frame.
Thank you
Answer:
Blackfriar Metallic Paint is suitable for exterior use and will be OK for this application. The table legs will need to be primed first following good preparation, assuming they are already coated with something a coat of Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 would be a good primer. If the legs are bare metal then a suitable metal primer can be applied before the Blackfriar Metallic Paint.
