Selemix 7-532/7-533 2K Polyurethane Direct Topcoat is a versatile, 2-pack PU finish, available in five gloss levels, which can be applied directly to a variety of substrates without need for a primer, giving a very efficient process.
It offers excellent anticorrosive properties making it suitable for the finishing and protection of machinery, agricultural and construction equipment, and many other industrial painting applications.
Thanks to its ISO 12944-6 and MED Certification, Polyurethane Direct Topcoat HS is a true all-rounder for many paint jobs in the light industry.
Selemix 7-532/7-533 Polyurethane Direct Topcoat delivers a high performance single layer system, characterised by ease of application, high film thickness, very good adhesion on various substrates such as bare steel, aluminium, galvanised steel and fibre reinforced plastic.
Available in 10%, 30%, 50%, 70% and 80% Gloss Levels (click to view product) in over 6,700+ RAL, RAL Metallic, BS, NCS and Selemix TIC colours.
Also available in High Solids (HS) and Economy versions.

Product Codes Explained
The base component of Selemix 7-532/7-533 2K Polyurethane Direct Topcoat 30% Gloss is seperated into two product codes which are used to identify white and pastel colours from the mixed colours as below:
- 7-532 - Selemix 2K Polyurethane Direct Topcoat 30% Gloss Base/Binder - Mixed Colours
- 7-533 - Selemix 2K Polyurethane Direct Topcoat 30% Gloss Base/Binder - White & Pastel Colours
- 9-070 - Hardener for Polyurethane Direct

Surface Preparation
Apply only on a clean and dry surface with a temperature above the dew point to avoid condensation. In confined spaces, provide adequate ventilation during application and drying.
Steel (Blast Cleaned):
- Blast clean to ISO 8501-1 SA 2.5 with a blast profile of maximum 40 µm Rz
Steel / Cast Iron:
- Machine sand with P80-120 discs and degrease
Galvanised Steel and Phosphated Steel:
- Abrade with SCOTCHBRITE® and degrease
Aluminium / Light Alloys:
- Machine sand with P240-320 discs and degrease
GRP:
- Machine sand with P240 discs and degrease
Painted Surfaces and Fillers:
- Machine sand with P320-400 discs and degrease
Mixing
- Thoroughly mix paint before activating and check colour before use
- The speed of drying can be increased with use of 1-490 Thinner, or 6-550 Accelerator (added at 1-2%) but these can reduce the final gloss and shorten the pot life
- Use of 1-490 Thinner AND 6-550 together is not recommended
- Use of 1-490 Thinner or 6-550 when applied directly to aluminium is not advised
Mixing Ratio:
- Selemix 7-532/7-533 2K Polyurethane Direct Topcoat
- 4 parts base : 1 part hardener

Mixing ratios between the Standard, High Solids and Economy versions of this product vary due to the different hardeners used.
