Keim Optil is a ready to use silica-sol interior mineral paint in accordance with DIN EN 3 300. Keim Optil is suitable for all conventional interior wall and ceiling surfaces whether unpainted or previously painted, and is particularly suitable for the creation of interior designs with specific requirements for high colour intensity and appearance, in prestigious architecture and poor lighting conditions.
Keim Optil is optimised for application in areas with glancing lighting conditions. In addition to this, Keim Optil boasts the following features:
Substrate Preparation
All loose, flaking and unstable material must be identified and then thoroughly removed, all
surfaces must be thoroughly washed down with clean cold water to remove all surface dirt and dust. When all surfaces are clean, sound, wind dry, dust free and free from all surface contaminants, decoration using KEIM Optil may proceed.
Application
Keim Optil should be applied by brush or roller with a minimum period of 12 hours between coats.
Application Conditions
Ambient and substrate temperature above 5°C and below 30°C. Do not apply in direct sunlight or onto sun-heated surfaces.
Consumption
0.22lt per square metre for two coats. Consumption rates are offered for guideline purposes only and are quoted for smooth surfaces. Actual rates are the responsibility of the applicator. Project specifications should be referred to for specific rates.
Clean tools with water immediately after use.
