Zinsser AllCoat Interior (Water-Based)

Assuming the UPVC windows are aged, clean, dry and sound we can recommend Zinsser Allcoat Exterior Waterbased.

This is available in matt, satin or gloss in many Ral and BS colours.

We would always prime interior varnished surfaces with Zinsser B-I-N before applying Zinsser Perma-White or Zinsser AllCoat Exterior. Both are fine to go over Zinsser B-I-N. We're unsure where you have got the information on sanding the paint off to get a better finish, but you do not need to sand between coats when using the Zinsser products discussed.

No, we would recommend using Zinsser B-I-N or Zinsser Cover Stain on interior hardwoods to block tannin bleed.

If a water based stain block is required you could try Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Plus, it may need several coats allowing a good few hours between each coat. Zinsser B-I-N or Zinsser Cover Stain however would always be more effective.

No, but you can use Zinsser AllCoat Exterior Satin on all those areas except decking. For decking try Jotun Demidekk Decking and Garden Stain.

Yes it does but it is a matt finish. Usually woodwork is required in a satin or semi-gloss finish, if this is the case then Zinsser Perma-White would be a better option. There is an Interior and Exterior grade available.
