In general we sort colours for products into 2 main groups - ‘Ready Mixed’ and ‘Tinted’.
Tinted colours will always be more expensive than Ready Mixed colours as they need to be produced at the time of order using a tinting machine dispensing colourant into a base*.
During busy periods, this means that tinted colours could take longer, for example – a ready mixed colour ordered on a 3-5 day delivery might arrive within 3 days, however a tinted colour might take the full 5 days to arrive.

To find Ready Mixed colours, search "ready mixed" or select the Ready Mixed 'colour chart'. To see Tinted colours select a colour chart such as RAL, BS, NCS, etc. or search for a colour/hue to see available or related options.

To ensure fair pricing, we split colours into ‘Price Bands’ to group together similar priced colours. If you wish to search for the cheapest tinted colours, always select Price Band 1.

We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our Products but we cannot guarantee that the colour shown on Customer’s monitor’s display will accurately reflect the colour of the Product on delivery. We recommend that Customer first purchases the smallest Product available or access an industry standard colour chart in person (and not digitally) to ensure that the colour is acceptable for its purposes.

Description

Rust-Oleum CombiColor Multi-Surface paint is a solvent based primer and topcoat in one, based on a modified Alkyd binder, providing good adhesion to many types of substrates and is lead and chromate free.

Rust-Oleum CombiColor Multi-Surface can be applied on many different substrates like wood, metal*, uPVC, mdf, masonry, tiles, most plastics, old concrete and more. We advise to do a small adhesion test prior to the application of the full surface. For metal structures in a more aggressive industrial environment, Rust-Oleum advise CombiColor Original in combination with Rust-Oleum CombiPrimer Anti-Corrosion 3369/3380.

Rust-Oleum CombiColor Multi-Surface - Custom Filled Aerosol Packs are produced from a litre of Rust-Oleum CombiColor Multi-Surface being mixed and then filled into aerosols, 1 litre of CombiColor Multi-Surface produces 8 x 400ml aerosols - this is applicable for colours mixed on a TR Base only.

For colours mixed on a WH, YE or WL Base the aerosols are produced from a 2.5L tin of Rust-Oleum CombiColor Multi-Surface being mixed and then filled into aerosols, 2.5 litres of CombiColor Multi-Surface produces 20 x 400ml aerosols. Colours mixed on a TR and WH Base are also available in this quantity.

Please note: Rust-Oleum Custom Filled Aerosols are intended for small maintenance jobs or for touch-up. Rust-Oleum CombiColor Aerosols should be used in light industrial exposures, normal humidity and interior applications.

Preparation

Remove oil, grease and all other surface contaminations by alkaline cleaning in combination with appropriate detergents
Remove rust scale, loose mill scale, loose rust and loose coatings by scraping, wire brushing or sanding
Sand intact coatings to roughen the surface slightly. Test before application the compatibility with the old coating
The surface must be clean and dry during application
New galvanised (bright aluminium-like finish), zinc and aluminium (new and old) surfaces have to be primed first with CombiPrimer 3302
Aged galvanised (matt grey appearance, showing white rust) should first be cleaned with an acid cleaner (e.g. Rust-Oleum SE108) or by mechanical abrasion with for example ScotchBrite
Very porous surfaces should be sealed prior to application of CombiColor® Multi-Surface
uPVC surfaces should first be cleaned with with a 5% solution of Rust-Oleum Mathys ND14 Cleaner Degreaser followed by a solvent wipe with Methylated spirits

Application Notes

Temperature of air, substrate and coating material between 5° and 35°C and relative humidity below 85%
The substrate temperature must be at least 3°C above dewpoint

Cleaning

Use Rust-Oleum Thinner 160

Shelf Life & Storage

2 years from date of production in unopened cans, if stored in dry, well ventilated areas, not in direct sunlight at temperatures between 5° and 35°C
