A water-based, durable, stone effect paint for interior use that provides a very hard-wearing, breathable, stone effect finish that looks and feels like natural stone. It is an extremely cost-effective alternative to replacing an existing fireplace and can be applied by brush, roller, and spray. Specially formulated for application onto:

Fireplaces, fire surrounds, back panels, hearths
See further below for colour and finish swatches, and for suitable substrates
Colours and finishes available in sample pots separately - hand-painted colour charts are also available
Performs up to 300°C (in-house testing)
- Surfaces painted with Stonelux Fireplace Paint must be a minimum of 100mm (10cm) away from any heat source
Note: Recommended to apply at least 3 thin coats, after application of StoneLux Primer. Refer to data sheets (available below) for correct application process. Multiple coats may be needed if primer not used.

ColourPicker Explained

In general we sort colours for products into 2 main groups - ‘Ready Mixed’ and ‘Tinted’.
Tinted colours will always be more expensive than Ready Mixed colours as they need to be produced at the time of order using a tinting machine dispensing colourant into a base*.
During busy periods, this means that tinted colours could take longer, for example – a ready mixed colour ordered on a 3-5 day delivery might arrive within 3 days, however a tinted colour might take the full 5 days to arrive.

To find Ready Mixed colours, search "ready mixed" or select the Ready Mixed 'colour chart'. To see Tinted colours select a colour chart such as RAL, BS, NCS, etc. or search for a colour/hue to see available or related options.

To ensure fair pricing, we split colours into ‘Price Bands’ to group together similar priced colours. If you wish to search for the cheapest tinted colours, always select Price Band 1.

*Colours are sold in the nearest tin size but actual paint volume per tin may vary up to 10% depending on colour

Colour reproduction of the Products on the Site is limited by the technology used to deliver web pages and by the colour representation of Customer’s own monitor and computer set-up. We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our Products but we cannot guarantee that the colour shown on Customer’s monitor’s display will accurately reflect the colour of the Product on delivery. We recommend that Customer first purchases the smallest Product available or access an industry standard colour chart in person (and not digitally) to ensure that the colour is acceptable for its purposes.

	Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team: Surfaces painted with Stonelux Fireplace Paint must be a minimum of 100mm (10cm) away from any heat source. Assuming the substrate to be painted is compatible, it is clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet including priming with Stonelux Primer & Undercoat it could be used.

Melanie Robinson on 2022-11-16 17:21:52	Question: Hello - my open Baxi fireplace has a tall wood surround with marble inset and hearth. I tend to burn logs and bits do end up on the hearth and over the years have burnt the marble. Also, I don't have a cap on the chimney and ash also ends up being blown on the hearth which I sweep then wipe up. I am looking at using the Lamport simply stone finish. How easy will it be to sweep/clean the hearth when debris lands on it and what would I clean it with? Thank you
	Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team: Unfortunately this product would not be suitable for this application, it is not designed for direct flame contact. Surfaces painted with Stonelux Fireplace Paint must be a minimum of 100mm (10cm) away from any heat source.

	Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team: Yes this product can be used but the Stonelux Primer & Undercoat must be applied first. This product must be used on areas at least 10cm for the source of heat. It should also not be exposed to direct flame contact.

	Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team: Yes the can be applied to plaster assuming it is clean, dry, sound, prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet and primed first with Stonelux Primer & Undercoat.

	Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team: Assuming the product has been applied and is cured, this would need to be abraded (sanded) to remove it. Alternatively you could consider Thermoguard Thermostrip PRO, we would testing for compatibility on a small area prior to full application.

Ian on 2022-02-20 13:23:09	Question: If I paint a terracotta tile hearth with stonelux paint, will it cope with the heat transfer from woodburner feet directly on it? The body of the stove is approximately 100 mm from the tiled surface.
	Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team: Yes as long as the heat of the stove does not exceed 300°C.
