    Description

    Keim GW Primer (Keim Ecosil Grund) is a silicate-based primer coat for interior use. Used as a base coat to equalise different absorbencies on repaired or filled surfaces, as well as a base coat for use on plasterboard and sound previously painted surfaces.

    Preparation & Application


    Substrate Preparation
    All loose, flaking and unstable material must be identified and then thoroughly removed, all surfaces must be thoroughly washed down with clean cold water to remove all surface dirt and dust. When all surfaces are clean, sound, wind dry, dust free and free from all surface contaminants, decoration using Keim Mineral Paints may proceed. Highly absorbent or friable substrates should firstly be treated with Keim Granital Dilution.

    Application
    Keim Ecosil Grund can be applied by brush or roller undiluted. Leave for at least 5 hours before over-coating with Keim interior paints.

    Application Conditions
    Ambient and substrate temperature above 5°C and below 30°C.

    Consumption
    Approx. 0.2 lt/m² Keim Ecosil Grund. Consumption rates are offered for guideline purposes only and are quoted for smooth surfaces. Actual rates are the responsibility of the applicator. Project specifications should be referred to for specific rates.

    Cleaning of Tools
    Clean tools with water immediately after use.
