Features & Benefits

• Do not apply when the air or substrate temperatures are likely to fall below 8°C or when the relative humidity is above 80% during application or the drying period.

Spreading Rate

Up to 13 square metres/litre per coat depending on the nature and porosity of the surface being painted.

Drying Time

Under normal drying, touch dry in 2 hours, recoatable after 4 hours. Allow for adequate ventilation during the drying period.

Shelf Life

Up to 12 months if stored correctly in an unopened container.

Preparation

All surfaces must be painted should be clean, dry and free from loose and flaking material. Prime bare surfaces with the appropriate Britannia Primer.

Rub down previously gloss painted surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper and rinse thoroughly. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding.

Application

Stir well before use.

Easy to apply by brush or roller. Also suitable for application by spray (see below). If more than one can of colour is to be used in the same area, intermix before use. Ensure good ventilation during application and drying. Do not apply in temperatures below 10˚C or in damp conditions.

Spray & Thinning Application

Thinning: sealing new or bare surfaces: up to 1.5 part clean water to 10 parts paint @ 2500 PSI / 172 bar with a 527 tip.

Airless Spray:

• Un-thinned: Spray @ 3000 PSI / 207 bar with 527 tip.
• Thinned: 1 part clean water to 10 parts paint spray @ 2500 PSI /172 bar with 527 tip.

Cleaning

Remove as much product as possible from application equipment before cleaning. Replace lid firmly. Clean equipment immediately after use with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly. Some local authorities have special facilities for the disposal of waste coatings. Do not empty product into drains or watercourses.

Precautions

• Keep out of reach of children.
• In case of contact with eyes wash immediately with plenty of water.
• Remove splashes from skin with soap and water or a recognised hand cleaner.
• Protect from freezing.
• Do not apply paint if there is a risk of heavy rain or frost.
• Do not use near fishponds.
