Questions
![]() | Question: How thick is the interior elastomeric paint? I am not a professional, but was thinking of using a roller to paint my living room with it. Is this ok? Will the end product look smooth like normal painted wall ? |
Answer: Bedec Interior-Flex Elastomeric Matt Emulsion can be applied by roller and leaves a smooth, matt finish.
![]() | Question: After using your paint will new cracks appear and if so would it be better to put lining paper on top of paint |
Answer: There is a possibility of cracks coming back if there is excessive movement, it really depends on how much movement there is in the substrate. There should be no reason that lining paper cannot be used over the top, just ensure that the paint has fully cured first. But again if the movement is enough to make the paint crack then we would assume that the lining paper would also crack.
![]() | Question: Can you use Bedec Interior-Flex Elastomeric Matt Emulsion as a base coat and paint over it with a second coat of another make of emulsion in a different, darker colour? |
Answer: Yes you can, we recommend applying two coats of Bedec Interior-Flex Elastomeric Matt Emulsion before overcoating with your own water based emulsion, but try to make sure the product you choose also has good flexibility otherwise you may experience cracking over time as your walls move. Alternatively we can mix most colours in the Bedec Interior-Flex Elastomeric Matt Emulsion so it may be worth checking with us first to see if we can produce it in the colour you want to save you overcoating it.
