Features & Benefits
- One coat application
- Low odour with ultra low VOC
- Available in white or clear
- Fantastic value
- Handy kit with roller
- Rust-Oleum Doodle Wall Base Part A (400ml)
- Doodle Wall Activator Part B (100ml)
- Small microfibre roller
You will need: White Spirit for clean-up and Dry wipe marker pens.
- White finish: For best results, apply over a pre-painted, white or light coloured surface. If applying to a new surface use a suitable white, water-based primer first, eg. Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 (follow manufacturer’s directions).
- Clear finish: Always apply over a pre-painted surface. Do not apply white or clear finish directly onto Vinyl Matt or other ‘weakly bound’ paint films. The product may be applied over Vinyl Silk or water based Acrylic Eggshell.
Pour approximately half of Part B into Part A and stir until mixed in then add the remainder of Part B and stir thoroughly for about 2 minutes (until a uniform colour is achieved). We recommend using the enclosed microfibre roller which is designed to give a smooth, uniform finish, alternatively use a short-pile mohair roller. Use paint brush if necessary for edging. White finish: When applying this over darker coloured surfaces prepare first with a suitable white primer (see Preparation above). Dries to the touch in 4 hours. Note that once activated the workable pot life of this product is 4 hours. There is enough product in this pack to cover 6 sq.metres. Only one coat of Rust-Oleum Doodle Wall should be applied.
Allow the painted surface to cure for 5 days at 20°C before applying any markings (allow more time in cooler temperatures). If in doubt leave the coating longer to cure prior to writing on the surface. Once fully cured dry wipe markers may be applied to surface and then wiped off with an eraser or lint free cloth.
- Tape desired area with low tack masking tape.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or cloths on the cured product.
- If ghosting of the dry wipe marker occurs, clean the surface with a white board cleaning solution and leave the surface for 24 hours prior to use.
- All drying times are for when applied at 20°C and max 85% humidity, lower temperatures and a higher humidity will prolong the drying times.
- Do not continue to use the mixed product for longer than 4 hours after mixing.
- After application the roller should be discarded. Application brushes can be cleaned with White Spirit.
- Whilst most dry wipe markers are suitable it is recommended to check the ease of removal of your chosen dry wipe marker on a small test area first.
It is your responsibility to read the Product Data Sheets (available below) before you place an order and prior to application of the product. The content of this website is our best recommendation and is not advice. Coverage rates quoted are approximate, you agree that coverage depends on the condition of the substrate, surface absorption, texture and application method. We ALWAYS recommend a trial area is coated to ensure the product meets your requirements before use.

Can this paint be applied for outdoor use on a wall?
Rust-Oleum Doodle Wall can be used outside but you must ensure no water can get in behind the coating as this will cause it to fail due to the coating not being breathable. The wall would need to have a very smooth finish for the product to work as intended, normal cement render for example would be too rough.

Hi, I have just purchased for my office. However before i apply, how hard will it be to come off, should the time come to leave our current offices. All the best, Rachel
Rust-Oleum Doodle Wall will be difficult to remove, sanding is probably the only way to shift it. You can’t paint over it as there aren’t any primers or paints that will adhere.

Hi I need to change the wall colour but doodle has been applied . Can it be over painted with correct colour in silk emulsion then reapply doodle wall on top of new colour.
Rust-Oleum Doodle Wall can't be overpainted, the coating is essentially an anti graffiti type. It would need to be abraded to remove the Doodle Wall layer then a suitable paint system applied.

Question: Hi, I have purchased this product (clear version) as I would like to apply it to one of the walls in my new house.
The current wall is painted yellow...I was thinking of applying a coat of White matt emulsion paint first onto the wall before applying the doodle clear paint mixture. Would this be okay?
Always apply over a pre-painted surface. Do not apply white or clear finish directly onto Vinyl Matt or other ‘weakly bound’ paint films. The product may be applied over Vinyl Silk or water based Acrylic Eggshell.

I’m looking for a whiteboard paint that I can stick post-it notes on without them falling off. Do you have anything suitable?
This is not something that the manufacturer has carried out any testing for. We have a section of our office wall with the Doodle Wall product on, a post it note does stick to this but whether it would stay on overnight or if all brands of post it notes would stick we couldn’t say.
Our board has been in use for a few months now and has been cleaned a number of times, this cleaning may help the notes stick better. The product was not designed for use with Post it notes so we would recommend you carry out your own tests to ensure it meets your requirements.
